This week we are going to be discussing mats. Here at Wal-Art Gallery, we understand the importance of preserving your artwork. It doesn't matter if it is an original oil painting, a poster, or your grandmother's wedding photographs, you have chosen to frame your artwork because you found it important enough to showcase it on your walls. That is why we are starting with mats because it is the material that lies next to your artwork.
If you have had something framed before, you may have noticed around the edges, near the matboard, some discoloration in the artwork.
